Howe many of us, either sonsciously or unconsciously, are a little comforted to discover what appear to be errors or contradictions in the Bible? If we can claim there are , then we can excuse oursrlves for not always doing what it commands us to do.

We may be studying the Bible to find out what we can get FROM God, but how many of us are looking to find out what we can do FOR God?

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is the door to the supernatural realm of God's power

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

God's supernatural power is the lifeblood of the church but our obedience is the heart that keeps it flowing.

4 John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Luke 11:9-13 (New International Version)
9"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[
a] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say

No minister dares ever preach on sin or all the sinners would leave. It would not bring conviction but eviction.

Saturday, August 23, 2008

1 ¶ I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9 ¶ Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. 12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. 13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. 16 ¶ At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. 17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Since the Bible does not provide a pablum rendition of judgment it is not a suitable subject for a sermon in a comfort zone, I 'm OK, your OK and that is OK with God, church.
And it is not the fault of the minister!

Hal, Just a note on the guy on Sid Roth that you sent. We have seen golden dust many times manifest. We even had some in our church. My good friend Alice, got 3 gold teeth at a Harvest Rock conference and she didn't know it for 2-3- days because she felt nothing. I have never seen manna appear. Dan and Sarah Shepler met onegentleman in Idaho? that gem stones have beenappearing in his yard (He is a strong Christian of course). They brought back photo of the gems. They got to hold the gems. She said the colors are different for each person who holds them. Probably his film tells about the "angel feathers" also. They are generally tiny. They appear some-times during worship services. I know a gal, Judi who does inner healing. The feathers are always showing up in her office. I finally got one when we went to prayer mt. in South Carolina last year. We had supper at the owners and one just floated down out of nowhere. We are going to Lakeland FL next week to the revival. I miss you and think of you often. I pray you and Ginnie are both in good health. love, Becky

Man falls after receiving Spirit, sues: Claims church liable for injuries sustained during healing service
Last June, Matthew Lincoln was attending an evening service at his nondenominational Tennessee church when he approached the altar where a visiting minister was offering individual prayers for parishioners. Assigned "catchers" were present on the altar in case congregants fainted, fell, or otherwise lost control. When the minister, Robert Lavala, slightly touched his forehead, the Knoxville-area man "received the spirit and fell backwards," – except nobody was there to catch him, Lincoln charges in a $2.5 million lawsuit filed yesterday against Lakewind Church and its pastors. Lincoln, 58, claims that he fell backwards, striking his head against the "carpet-covered cement floor," according to the Circuit Court complaint, which was first reported by Courthouse News Service.…Since he already suffered from a "degenerative disc disease of his neck and back," Lincoln, a former church board member, contends the fall exacerbated the pre-existing condition and has caused him "severe and
permanent" injuries. As a result of the fall, Lincoln, a recording engineer, claims that he is no longer able to care for his disabled daughter. Lincoln alleges that Lakewind and its pastors were "negligent in not supervising the catchers to be sure that they stood behind the person being prayed for...should they have a dizzying, fainting, or falling in the spirit as had occurred on many occasions before." Lincoln's lawyer, J.D. Lee, told TSG that the church's insurer, Zurich of North America, rejected an insurance claim, asserting that Lincoln should have realized that no catchers were situated behind hi

Moving from belief or faith to knowing is to move from the unexperienced to the experienced; from the natural to the supernatural; from the subjecive to the objective.

Matthew 11:11
Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

does not this refute the belief that all are equal in the kingdom of 'god?

It seems to me that Jesus' main point was that He was the son of God. And He pointed to the signs and wonders as His proof.

When we claim we are sons ans daughters of God, what do we have to point to or is it pointless?

Signs of Healing: Third Christian School Dedicated in Iraq
Teresa Neumann (June 14, 2008)
"These government officials actually take their kids to that Christian school, and they perceive the school on a daily basis as a place of reconciliation, as a place for the future. And it is being led by Christians."
(Iraq)—Carlos C (name withheld for security reasons) is the vice-president of Partner's International Ministries. Recently he dedicated a third Christian school in Northern Iraq and is reportedly "amazed" by what God is doing there. (Photo: MNN) "Education in English was a huge asset," said Carlos. "These people are trusting their kids to the care and the hands of a Christian education. Adults entrusting their kids to the hands of Christian educators so that the future can be better—that is amazing. And that's only possible by God's grace."According to a report in Mission Network News (MNN) at the dedication of the school, the Iraqi minister of education representative spoke. The minister, said Carlos, said "Iraq is trying to reconcile people. And whatever you hear, this is a place where we value democracy, and everyone is welcome."While they are predominately Muslim, Carlos said, "These government officials actually take their kids to that Christian school, and they perceive the school on a daily basis as a place of reconciliation, as a place for the future. And it is being led by Christians."

Hi Hal

I came to your group on Wed. May 31st with Elaine. I am Janice from Canada.

Thank you for awakening me to healing power that Jesus has intended for us to use for others. Your web site is very helpful and I am writing to tell you how astounded I was to read your experience. About 30 years ago I was invited to go to a Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship in another city. I was recently baptised in the Holy Spirit and had an idea of what to expect. I believed, but was uncomfortable with the emotionalism. That afternoon I tripped and hurt my back. I could barely get to the car. As we drove my back became stiffer and more painful. I thought I would not be able to get out of the car. I said to the Lord, "if you want me at this meeting you will have to fix my back." I felt a sensation of heat and the pain left although I wondered what would happen when I moved. When we arrived at the meeting I got out of the car and walked into the meeting with no pain whatsoever. As you see my experience is very similar to yours.

I believe the Lord is leading me to a ministery in our church (even though it is Baptist). I know two women who believe that we can heal in Jesus' Name and we already have a powerful prayer group. I will keep you posted

Thank you to you and Ginny for your gracious hospitality.

I'm Sureshni, from Sri Lanka. About two years ago, I found your site 'Land of Miracles' and asked you and your group to kindly pray for my healing. It was a tear in my body which bled and actually needed suturing. But as I prayed and asked the Lord to please heal me, I read the scripture " I will heal the breach" - from the Old Testament.I knew the Lord was telling me He WILL heal me.It took about 2 months for the total healing, but I was TOTALLY healed, Praise God.I didn't have to see a doctor at all! Neither, did I take any medication - except that I kept that part very clean and used the gel from an aloe vera plant - I felt the Lord led me to usethis. Now, again I need healing. This time, for my teeth which the Dentist says are 'wasted'.The teeth at the back that I use to chew my food. The Dentist also says there are 'spaces' between my teeth, due to the 'wasting'.One tooth in particular is very sensitive when I bite.I have always kept my teeth clean, so I've done all I can. Again, I've asked the LORD to please heal me. I felt He pointed out a scripture in Isaiah that said" I will RAISE UP the decayed places thereof" I am convinced that my God can and will heal in answer to the prayers of many. I LOVE to see people healed and also to personally experience Divine healing. Hal, would you please pray for me that the LORD would heal my teeth? my Dentist is a Budhist lady. I would so LOVE to experience this healing by our Lord. I had written down your email address as well as the address - 'hittpink', the last time. So I thought I'd send a copy to her/him also. Hoping to hear from you Hal. Thank you so much and God bless you! Sureshni, from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Man Who was Written Off by Doctors at Birth Now Shares How His Second Birth in Christ Revolutionized His Life
Teresa Neumann (June 10, 2008)
"Christopher Coleman—becoming the first in his family to graduate from college—likens his life in a wheelchair to the blind man in Chapter 9 of the book of John" in that he was "born with such challenges, so that the works of God be demonstrated in him."
(Atlanta, Georgia)—A report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution chronicles the life of Christopher Coleman, from doctors "writing him off" after his premature birth to his second birth in Christ years later.According to the article, shortly after Coleman's birth doctors said he would never walk, talk, or even think for himself. His father abandoned his mother the day he was born and throughout his subsequent years in school people treated him as a non-entity as he sat in the back of class in a wheel-chair. (Photo: Empowered Ministries) "No one talked to me," he said, wondering why he'd ever been born. "No one even wiped my nose."
Meanwhile, he taught himself how to read and his mother "passed on her faith" of God to him and ultimately he graduated among the top five in his high school class of 1993. A short time later he moved to Georgia to go to school at Southern Polytechnic State University. One day in 1998, Coleman sneezed, spraying the personal assistant assigned to help him with his daily tasks. The assistant didn't get frustrated or annoyed with Coleman like so many others had in the past. "It's OK," the man told him.
"I didn't hear him," Coleman said. "I heard God say, 'It's OK.' "
That, notes reporter Gracie Bonds Staples, was Coleman's second birth and in that moment, realizing that he was not a burden to the world, his life changed forever. Coleman has spent the last ten years taking this message of hope to others, and will do so again June 19 when he speaks before a performance by TobyMac in Atlanta.
Adds Staples: "Christopher Coleman—becoming the first in his family to graduate from college—likens his life in a wheelchair to the blind man in Chapter 9 of the book of John" in that he was "born with such challenges, so that the works of God be demonstrated in him."
"I don't live my life in a wheelchair,'' he said. "I live my life from a wheelchair."

In my view, there are three steps to becoming a complete Christian.
Step one is knowing about Jesus.
Step two is knowing Jesus through the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Step three is doing what we are commanded to do by Scripture.
See acts 1:8

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

But how many are obeying Him?

37 ¶ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jesus died to provide living water to the thirsty but how many are dying to have it?

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

John the Baptist first introduced Jesus as the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. This is what happened at Pentecost and it was the birthday of the church and it was the power of the Holy Spirit that and enabled the early church to spread the gospel. Without it the church would have gone out of existence. Yet many Christians today regard it as a perk perhaps but not necessarily important for them. yet, in Luke 11:9-13 the children of God are told to ask, seek, and knock until they get the Holy Spirit. Since the children of God are already spirit - fill obviously this refer to something more. Therefore, it must refer to the been true in the power of the baptism in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Of course Satan doesn’t want us to have this power. Is it possible that those who resist the are under the influence of Satan who doesn’t want us to have this power? Unfortunately this possibility rarely is mentioned in the modern church so very few Christians are aware of it. So what is the answer?

Hi Hal,
This is thanks to your website.I am not new to healing but I did not know about healing in the name of Jesus. I now have totally changed my way. Here are some testimonials I had received over the years (from my old way of healing). I intend to do better .... My goal is to heal physical ailments so that people discover Jesus, and finally improve the world... What a program !!!Thank you so much,MicheleMichele,I told you I have had mono for about 3 months. Today was the first day that I felt a whole day of energy. I think it’s the healing, I really do. I have been so exhausted. I really appreciate what you are doing and know you are helping big time. So, on the feedback, you have a woman who has mono and after a week of healing is feeling almost normal. That's something to say. Really! S.D., Seattle(After the first session)My session with you was incredible. I felt as though someone put a nice warm heat pack on my right knee and also on my lower back right side where the pain is. Thank you so much, I look forward to tomorrow.LVH, Cleveland(after two weeks of remote healing) : I have experienced a 40% decrease in the pain in my knees and a 30% decrease in the pain in the rib cage under my right breast. There has been a 70% decrease in the arthritic pain in my hands. I have not had a migraine headache since my sessions began with you. I am extremely grateful to you for what you have done. I would indeed like to continue the sessions with you.LVH, Cleveland(After four weeks):I would like to inform you, Michele, that, as of today, I have NO PAIN under my right breast or in either of my hands. I have more good news. I have also experienced a 80% decrease in the pain in both of my knees. Hallelujah!!!!!!!Love,LVH, ClevelandMy hip is feeling quite relaxed right now. I can't thank you enough for your help….I also had just finished the physical therapy exercise of hanging the right hip over the side of the bed, to stretch the sore joint. So it was hurting before 8 p.m., but now it is not hurting any more. Michele, you are wonderful.M. Z., Los Angeles. After one week of healing to S.(4 years old) who is autistic and non verbal.S. has had a couple of things happen at school. One day, his teacher told me that, for the first time, he followed along to some of the songs (not the words, but the actions) such as, HEAD, SHOULDERS, KNEES AND TOES, using his hand to point along with the song. He has never done that before. Then, on another day, S. tried to say APPLE and used the sign for apple. The teacher’s assistant was so happy, she said she started to cry!! Thanks so much, Michele. I have told a few of my friends about you. I will be in touch soon. M. A., Houston,Texas(after 4 days): Hi Michele, Thanks for sending me healing energy. I have not had a migraine this week! Also, Monday, during the first healing session, I felt a tingling on the left leg where I had been having some muscle pain and the pain went away. I then felt the tingling travel down my right leg to my right foot where I had been having pain for the last few days. The foot had been throbbing with pain and after I felt the tingling the pain gradually subsided. When I got up after the healing session, the pain in the foot was gone completely. Thank you very much E.N., Arizona(after one week)Hi Michele, I have been feeling good since the start of your healing sessions. I have not had a migraine headache all week. Also the pain in my legs has not returned. Once again, I thank you very much for the healing energy you have sent me. E.N., ArizonaThank you sooo much. I was having a pretty intense emotional week, when we started the sessions. However, I feel much more calm altogether and my urges to smoke cigarettes have subsided. D. M.Hi Michele,Yes, I have noticed a difference. When I'm relaxing & receiving the healing I feel much better. When the sessions are over, I feel pretty good & I've been sleeping much better.I don't know what I actually feel during the sessions It's hard to explain. But I know I feel much better. ThanksV.Yes, I do get the energy. Really up my arms. My shoulder is feeling a lot better. It is amazing how you do it remotely.Really felt wonderful!!!Thanks so much. I am feeling much better. It is amazing!!! I have told friends, but they can't believe it. I will keep in touch. God Bless You, J. B. Downey(After two weeks)Michele,You've been a great help. I can really feel my scalp healing. I feel this warm feeling, especially when I put my hand on my scalp. And it is so relaxing. I am truly grateful for your time and your help. I am also feeling a lot more relaxed and calm. Thank you once again.Kind regards,J. M., England(second eMail after the two week treatment)Thanks for the second week of healing Michele. It has been really soothing.Thank you once again, I really appreciate your time and help. With loveJ. M., EnglandMichele,Thank you again for your voluntary remote healing. To be honest, I don't know that I was able to actually "feel" the energy during those times. However, perhaps more important, I lost SIX POUNDS during those two weeks, which is a HUGE amount. My appetite was less keen, easier to fill or ignore. I do feel I benefited from this, and feel like I'm still benefiting in terms of dieting.S. B., GlendaleThank you Michele.I would like to report that again, when a migraine almost certainly would have been expected this week I did not have one. I am very excited by the work we have done so far and have spoken of you glowingly to many of my friends and colleagues.Once again, thank you, Michele.A. Toronto Hi Michele,Yes, I did benefit quite a bit from the sessions. My stomach pain is totally healed and I have been eating whatever I want and have been much clearer in asserting myself!Y. E., New York, N. Y.Hi Michele,My headaches are definitely improved even when now that I'm walking about 10 miles per week. Appreciate your help... K. C., Los Angeles(After a week of remote healing)Dear Michele,My sessions are definitely working! My headaches are gone. I feel so relaxed and my energy finally feels balanced. I just can't thank you enough. Bless you.Love and Light,H.R., Salt Lake City(one week after the healing)Hi Michele,I am sorry it has taken me longer to get back to you than I had planned. But it has given me the time to know that my headaches are gone! I can't thank you enough! I believe my headaches were caused by my energy being blocked. Any way my daily sessions from you have completely changed that. Every session felt like it was working on a different area and in places I did not know needed it. After months of almost daily headaches I feel so wonderful! You are an angel. Thank you again so much. Love and light,H. R., Salt Lake CityHi Michele,Thank you so much for the week of Healing Energy, it has been amazing! A couple of times I could honestly feel hands resting on my shoulders, it was wonderful. Thank you again for this week. What a wonderful experience.L. J., Canada

Evangelical zeal is what fuels the fire of the Holy Spirit and spiritual apathy is what quenches it.

Since, from time to time, God finds it necessary to send revival to the church doesn't that prove the church is not suffering from insomnia.?

If, from time to time, God finds it necessary to send revival to the church doesn't that show is not suffering from insomnia?

Pew cushions should be launching pads - not comfort zones.

And sermons should pull the trigger - not just fluff the cushons.

Without the fire of the Holy Spirit the church, at best, is lukewrm by default.

Church comfort zones are the bleachers at God's game of evangelism and there are few vacant seats.

One of the reasons for this blog is it is an opportunity to give vent TO my sentiments. To some they may seem judgmental although they are echoed by many other sources.

However, I would be blessed to know if anybody is reading them and whether they ares of any interest to those who come across them.

so if you are a reader I would appreciate knowing so.

God bless you

Presuppositions that we have arrived at based on our likes, what is comfortable and what is not convicting will not be subject to reason, logic, nor what Scripture teaches.

Isn't it convenient that Mother's Day falls on Pentecost Sunday so that non-charismatic ministers can dodge preacihng to their comfort-zone congregationon on the power to make disciples?+++
However, since the season of Pentecost is the longest one on the church calender, who knows?

Received from a reader in Ireland:

There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic.Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him because of his reputation. At the end of every semester on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, 'If there is anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!' In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, 'Because anyone who believes in God is a fool'.If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and brea king S uch a simple task to prove that He is God, and yet He can't do it.' And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. All of the students would do nothing but stop and stare. M ost of the students thought that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but! For 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.Well, a few years ago there was a freshman who happened to enroll. He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about his professor. He was required to take the class for his major, and he was afraid. But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said, or what the class thought.Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith...he hoped. Finally, the day came. ! The professor said, 'If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!' The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, 'You FOOL!!! If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!' He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down hi s &nbs p;leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man, and then ran out of the lecture hall. The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of the room and shared his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God's love for them and of His power through Jesus. You have 2 choices: 1. Delete this and never look at it again. 2. Pass this along to your Christian and non-Christian friends, giving them encouragement we all need every day When you choose option 2, you have chosen to STAND UP In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.............. Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.Isn't it funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Isn't it funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. Or is it scary?Isn't it funny how someone can say 'I believe in God' but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also 'believes' in God ). Isn't it funny how you can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, But when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.Isn't it funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace. Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week. Are you laughing? ! Isn't it funny how when you go to forward this message, you wi ll not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.Isn't it funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me. Will YOU pa ss this on? . I did .

If you do not believe casting out demons and healing the sick is for today, what in the world is your definition of evidence?

Many churches think they are doing great but they are out of commission.

Blind from birth, Jane simply requested, "I want to see!"
We had spent the day hearing from the Linn Brothers teach us about healing. Now it was time to put the teaching into practice. Those who needed prayer for healing were instructed to rise from their theatre like seats and stand signifying their need.

The rest of the people were asked to gather around anyone near by, ask what the prayer need was and then lay their hands on the person and pray silently for 5 minutes for that person. “Be Jesus to the person,” was the instruction. What that meant I had no idea. In fact in some way I thought it was a bit presumptuous. 3 of us lined ourselves up around Jane, a tall 40ish woman near us- one each side of her in her row and myself reaching out over the seats in front of her.

On one side of her a short elderly priest, somewhat patronizingly, said, “Well dearie what can we do for you? Her reply was quiet and simple- “I want to see.” The priest was quite taken aback and the woman on the other side almost faded out of the picture. My scientific medical nurses mind said, “Impossible” Then I asked, “Do you just need to see better without glasses?” “No”, she said, “I have been blind since birth”. Then breaking through the sense of overwhelming helplessness came the leader's instructions again, “Get on with your praying and just be Jesus to whoever needs His healing”. In obedience we began.

In silence. 5 minutes at first seems like a long time! It was in that time that I heard God tell me how to pray. It was also in that time that I struggled and reasoned with God about why I couldn’t or shouldn’t do what I heard Him saying. Very clearly I heard Him say “Lay your hands upon her eyes”. “I can’t Lord! You know as an Anglican I’m not to do the Laying on of Hands and especially on the head.” “Lay your hands on her eyes”, came the persistent charge over and over again.

After what seemed like an eternity (in actual fact only a couple of minutes) I gave in and laid my right hand across her eyes. That moment for me was a profound experience of God - a real theophany! Then breaking through the awe came some more instructions from the front of the room - “Check with the person with whom you are praying and see where she or he is at”. We all opened our eyes and to our amazement Jane read my first name which was in larger print on my name tag. She said, “I can only read your first name. Your last name reminds me of the story of how the blind man Jesus was in the process of healing saw trees walking!” We were awe struck to put it mildly!

Jane continued speaking directly to me, “You know when you put your hand on my eyes, it was not your hands I SAW but I SAW the hands of Jesus. I saw Him as soon as you touched me.” At this point further instructions were given- “If the healing isn’t complete pray more, continue to be Jesus - another 5 minutes.

We went back to silent prayer! With expectation this time! No hesitation about laying hands on her eyes! At the end of the 5 minutes Jane opened her eyes and read what she said was a clear first name and a slightly blurred last name. God had not only opened her eyes but had also taught her to read! Awesome!

Jesus said, Those that Believe SHALL cast out demons (Mark 16:17). If you obey this COMMAND, you become a Demonbuster. Are you a Believer? Yes or no? If you have a Christian Ministry, why are you not obeying this command of Jesus?
Acts 5:32 - And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost who God hath given to them THAT OBEY HIM. Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe ALL things whatsoever I have COMMANDED you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus commanded ALL Believers to cast out demons.

The largest blind spot of most modern churches is that the activity and influence of demons can be ignored.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

This says to me that Jesusr eceived the whole nine yards. So, wouldn't that include speaking in tongues?

Dragon Natural Speaking.

The page hits to my website suddenly jumped from about 120 by an average per day to 2500 yesterday and is on the way up 600 today. Someones has posted my website to a large constituency for which I am very grateful I would appreciate it if they would let me know who they are.

here are times that God must foreclose on those things that we have bought into beyond what He has afforded us to pay for. Walking along the brink of bankruptcy on a presumed faith that results in begging for financial support is not stepping out in God's faith. It is ambition. If God ordains something to be done, He may not provide the means up front, but He will never be late in supplying it. God's provision does not require begging. If we find it necessary to beg, we have gotten ahead of God. Having to beg is the evidence that we have stepped out in presumption -- not faith.

thanks for the wonderful site! I have working my way through it over the coming days.Reading the "thoughts.htm" page I read,"Because our understanding if finite, sooner or later, we must put our trust in God."was that supposed to be "is" instead of "if"? Really it works either way, but I was just checking with you ;)Some of those sayings are quite thought provoking while a a few really made me chuckle. Thanks again!Rocky Moore

John the baptist introduced Jesus as the Baptizer in\with the Holy Spirit. This happened on the day of Pentecost -- the birthday of the church. it was the proof that Jesus was resurrected and had ascended to Heaven. Without this "birthday" there would be no church and Jesus' death and resurrection would have been in vain.
Yet, many churches, although they may give lip-service to the Holy Spirit, regard it as past, or not 'their "thing."

It seems natural for them to avoid the supernatural.
What is your church's excuse?

If we claim the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, Helper, Councelorr, and Guide,
should not it be normal to have Him communicate with us? Yet if we were to say that the Holy Spirit said this to me we would be regarded as being presumptious?

A church that never has an altar call is doing little to fix the fall.

Hi Hal,
I don't know if you remember praying for me right after the superbowl back in February. At that time I asked you to pray for my lower back. It is doing a lot better now. I am believing God to do an even deeper work to the point of restoration. One thing I did notice is that when I receive prayer it seems to take a while to receive my healing. I haven't figured out if that means anything or not. I also noticed that on your website when you were believing God to heal you of cancer that you had to stand for quite a while before you started to see results. I wanted to thank you for making yourself available to people to call you for prayer. I have read many books on the subject of healing and it is one of my desires that God would use me to pray for others also.
May God bless your faithfulness,
Best Regards

Dear Hal, The lady you prayed for six months ago is ......whose name is confidential since she wishes that her name not be used in your testimonial. She is a seventy-year old lady who was diagnosed with cancer by her doctor and given six to nine months to live. You prayed for her when her sister called you up on the phone. After your prayer, she felt totally different. Her test results came out negative. The cancer was gone! She even went on a cruise. She now can live a normal life now. No one would know she had been so sick before. Her friend, Susan

It seems to me one of the problems with tongues is that it is objective evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We either have it or we do not.

We can claim we believe, are saved, are born-again, Spirit-filled but where is the proof?.

Tongues is the proof of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The baptisin the Holy Spirit is the proof of being born again.

God has something more for all of us but if we are not willing to admit we don't have it, admit we need it, ask for it, and seek it, we will never get it.

Act 6:10 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers [did], so [do] ye.

Can this be said of Christians who do not seek the Holy Spirit's power?

Spiritual house-cleansing is a much neglected part of "cleaning up our act." We need to realize there are material things that can spiritually contaminate our home.
Many Christians -- and unbelievers as well -- without realizing it, have opened themselves up to demonic influence through images they have brought into their houses.
(1) Such objects can attract evil spirits or may already be infested. Until we get rid of these objects, we risk being affected by their presence. This lesson covers:
What Does the Bible Say About Making or Possessing Images?
Are "Christian" Objects an Exception?
Is It OK To Keep Such Objects If We Do Not Worship Them?
Can Material Things Carry Spiritual Power?
How Are We Affected By The Presence of Evil Powers?
What Are Typical Object We Should Look For?
How Should We Dispose Of Objects That Fall Into This Category?
Should We Attempt To Salvage Anything Of Value From Them?
What Else Should Be Done?
How Do We Do This "House-cleaning?
The Covenant Of The BloodWHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT MAKING OR POSSESSING IMAGES?Notice that when God appeared to man He was not in the form of an image.
[Deut. 4:15-26] You saw no form of any kind the day the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars-- all the heavenly array-- do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. But as for you, the LORD took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of his inheritance, as you now are. The LORD was angry with me because of you, and he solemnly swore that I would not cross the Jordan and enter the good land the LORD your God is giving you as your inheritance. I will die in this land; I will not cross the Jordan; but you are about to cross over and take possession of that good land. Be careful not to forget the covenant of the LORD your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the LORD your God has forbidden. For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time-- if you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in the eyes of the LORD your God and provoking him to anger, I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed.[Deut. 7:25-26] The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the LORD your God. Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Utterly abhor and detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.
[Acts 17:29] Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone-- an image made by man's design and skill. IS IT ALL RIGHT TO KEEP SUCH OBJECTS IF WE DO NOT WORSHIP THEM?
Many will argue that, since they do not worship these objects, they are harmless. Because they "fit in" with the decor, or are artistically pleasing to the eye, or have been in the family for a long time, or have some intrinsic value, they are reluctant to destroy them. In view of many testimonies and personal experiences about the possible evil influence of such objects, we would do well to ask God if He agrees. Possessing such things is a visible advertisement to the powers of darkness that we are willing to risk their effect because we covet them. In any event, we are being disobedient to God's command. In the following scripture we have a statement that to covet is to idolize!
(Col. 3:5-6) Mortify therefore your members that are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: (KJV)
There is a very enlightening story in the Old Testament about a soldier named Achan. It illustrates this point.
[Joshua 7:1-26] But the Israelites acted unfaithfully in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Carmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So the Lord's anger burned against Israel. Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth Aven to the east of Bethel, and told them, "Go up and spy out the region." So the men went up and spied out Ai. When they returned to Joshua, they said, "Not all the people will have to go up against Ai. Send two or three thousand men to take it and do not weary all the people, for only a few men are there." So about three thousand men went up; but they were routed by the men of Ai, who killed about thirty-six of them. They chased the Israelites from the city gate as far as the stone quarries and struck them down on the slopes. At this the hearts of the people melted and became like water. Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell face down to the ground before the ark of the LORD, remaining there till evening. The elders of Israel did the same, and sprinkled dust on their heads. And Joshua said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, why did you ever bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan! O Lord, what can I say, now that Israel has been routed by its enemies? The Canaanites and the other people of the country will hear about this and they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. What then will you do for your own great name?" The LORD said to Joshua, "Stand up"! What are you doing down on your face? Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions. That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction. "Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, `Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: That which is devoted is among you, O Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it. "`In the morning, present yourselves tribe by tribe. The tribe that the LORD takes shall come forward clan by clan; the clan that the LORD takes shall come forward family by family; and the family that the LORD takes shall come forward man by man. He who is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated the covenant of the LORD and has done a disgraceful thing in Israel!'" Early the next morning Joshua had Israel come forward by tribes, and Judah was taken. The clans of Judah came forward, and he took the Zerahites. He had the clan of the Zerahites come forward by families, and Zimri was taken. Joshua had his family come forward man by man, and Achan son of Carmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and give him the praise. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me." Achan replied, "It is true! I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel. This is what I have done: When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, two hundred shekels of silver and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath." So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent, and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver underneath. They took the things from the tent, brought them to Joshua and all the Israelites and spread them out before the LORD. Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold wedge, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor. Joshua said, "Why have you brought this trouble on us? The LORD will bring trouble on you today." Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them. Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the LORD turned from his fierce anger. Therefore that place has been called the Valley of Achor ever since.Notice that it is never mentions that Achan worshiped these things, but he did covet them! God had forbidden them to have anything to do with the heathen nations or their possessions.
CAN MATERIAL THINGS CARRY SPIRITUAL POWER?Yes! From the text above, and also from the following one, The Scriptures clearly says material articles can carry both good and evil power.
[Acts 19:12] God did extraordinary miracles through Paul. Handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
It does not say that the person being healed had to worship the handkerchiefs or aprons to receive the blessing. Is it reasonable, therefore, to agree it would not be necessary to worship forbidden material objects to receive the curse?
HOW ARE WE AFFECTED BY THE PRESENCE OF EVIL POWERS?There are many ways in which they may make their presence felt. The most obvious are the kinds of activity that would cause a house to be regarded as haunted. These can be the appearance of apparitions, unexplained temperature changes, foul odors, unexplained noises, etc. Less obvious, are feelings of oppression, heaviness, gloom, and fear. Still, the absence of all or any of the above manifestations does not justify disobeying what God has commanded. He forbids us to bring such objects into our house.
[Deut.
WHAT ARE TYPICAL OBJECTS WE SHOULD LOOK FOR?Look for little Mexican sun gods, Tiki dolls, images or pictures of frogs and owls.
(3) Also look for amulets, fetishes, idols, incense, Buddhas, hand-carved objects from heathen cultures,(4) or Ouija boards. Anything connected with astrology, horoscopes, fortune telling, handwriting analysis, and so on, should be destroyed. Books, records, tapes, or objects associated with witchcraft, or the cult religions (metaphysics, Christian Science, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc.), are no-nos. Rock and roll records and tapes fall in the category of items that often are loaded with evil spiritual powers. Other things are so-called good-luck objects.(5) These include rabbit's feet, horse-shoes, and four-leaf clovers. Some jewelry, such as crystals, copper bracelets, charm bracelets, Masonic, fraternity, or sorority pins and rings(6) are highly questionable.(7)
If in doubt, ask the Holy Spirit to show you anything specific. Sometimes it can be something that we would otherwise overlook. I read of one case where getting rid of an arrowhead collection solved a problem. Be reminded that the American Indians -- as well as many foreign cultures often worshiped idols.
Burning is recommended, if that is practical.
Otherwise, destroy or dispose of them in a way that will prevent them from falling into someone's hands. To sell them, no matter how valuable, or to give them away, is to transfer the evil influence from yourself to someone else. They may have been expensive purchases or gifts, but it doesn't cost anything to destroy them.
SHOULD WE ATTEMPT TO SALVAGE ANYTHING OF VALUE FROM THEM?Scripture is clear that we should not try to salvage any investment in them.
[Deut. 7:25] Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the LORD your God.
It is well to cleanse the house
(9) itself, since former owners may have been involved in occult practices. If they were involved in such activities or were in serious bondage to sin, there is reason to suspect that evil spirits remained behind. These spirits can and will cause trouble for the new owners. Used cars fall into this category, since the activities of previous owners could be spiritually contaminating.
Win Worly
(10) suggests that two believers undertake this, with Bible in hand. Appropriate verses from Scripture may be read aloud in unison or separately. Prepare by praying for the discernment of spirits and the word of knowledge to help the process. Verbally denounce(11) Satan and his power and all his demon hosts. Claim your authority as a believer-priest(12) in the name of Jesus Christ, and the authority of His shed blood. Let the believers take turns reading Scriptures(13) (preferably in every room in the house). Claim the cleansing of the area by demanding,(14) in Jesus' name, that the spirits leave and never return. Do not overlook the dark places where spirits like to hide. Closets, attics, basements, crawl spaces, and cupboards are examples.
Finally, anointing the top and sides of doors and windows and declaring them to be spiritual locks, in the name of Jesus, is practiced by some. Each room and area should be claimed as ground for the Lord and taken back from Satan and his demons.
Each occupant should renounce any known sins or occult connections, involvement confessed as sin, and ask God to forgive them. Any specific areas of demonic activity or influence of which you are aware should be renounced by name.
The following declaration is very effective:
Dear Lord, I have a confession to make; Through ignorance, or willfulness I have sought supernatural experiences apart from You. I have disobeyed your Word [Deut. 17:2-5; 18:10-12] and I ask you to deliver me as I renounce these things. Cleans me in body, mind, soul, and spirit, I pray
I now renounce, forsake, turn away from, all contact with witchcraft, magic, ouija boards, and other occult games;I renounce all kinds of fortune telling, palm reading, tea leaves reading, crystal I renounce all crystal balls, Tarot and other card laying!
I renounce all astrology, birth signs, and horoscopes!
I renounce the heresy of reincarnation, and all healing groups involved in metaphysics and spiritualism!
I renounce the practice of hypnosis under any excuse or authority!
I renounce all rock music that is not consistent with the Word of God.
I renounce all transcendental meditation, Zen, and all other eastern cults and idol worship!
I renounce all martial arts, including Judo, Kung Fu, and Karate!
I renounce all water witching [or dousing], levitation, table-tipping, body lifting, psychometry [divination through objects] automatic writing, and handwriting analysis!
I renounce all literature I have ever read and studies in any of these fields and promise I will destroy all such material in my possession!
I renounce astral projection, soul and out-of-body travel and other demonic skills!
I renounce, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, all psychic heredity that I may have. I break any demonic hold or curse on my family line back to ten or more generations on both sides of the family!
I do now renounce and forsake every psychic and occult contact that I don't know about, also well as those I know about!
I renounce every cult that denies atonement through the blood of Jesus Christ and every philosophy that denies the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
[Note: If you have difficulty renouncing any of the above, ask yourself why. Experience has taught that such items may be the very thing that should be renounced. In any case, go ahead with the list. Ask the Holy Spirit to confirm those items that you take exception to.]
I break any curse that may have come upon this household by my disobedience or the disobedience of my ancestors back for ten generations on both sides of the family in the name of Jesus!
Now Satan, I close any door I may have opened to you through these contacts.
The following declaration is recommended for personal deliverance. However, it is equally effective for house-cleansing.
*Satan! I testify to you personally what the Word say the BLOOD does for me!
Revelation 12:11 - They [the believers on earth] overcame him [Satan] by the Blood of the Lamb [Jesus Christ] and the word of their testimony. [That is, they testified to what the Word of God says about the Blood of Jesus.]
*Through the BLOOD OF JESUS, I am redeemed out of the hands of Satan!
Psalm 107:2 - Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
Ephesians 1:7 - In whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the richness of His grace.
*Through the BLOOD OF JESUS, all my sins are forgiven!
Col. 1:12-14 - Giving thanks to the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
*The BLOOD OF JESUS is cleansing me now from all sin!
1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleanses us from all sin.
*I am justified, made righteous, just-as-if-I'd never sinned, through the BLOOD OF JESUS!
Romans 5:9 - Much more then, now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
*Through the BLOOD OF JESUS, I am sanctified, set apart to God!
Hebrews 13:12 - Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
*My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, sanctified, through the BLOOD OF JESUS!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - What? Know you not that your body is the temple of the holy Spirit, which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
*I belong to Jesus Christ, God's Son, spirit, soul, and body!
His BLOOD protects me from all evil!
Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt youBLOOD OF JESUS, Satan, you have no place in me, and no more power over me! I renounce you and your hosts completely, and declare you to be my enemies! Jesus said, "these signs shall follow the believer. In my name they shall cast out devils." [ Matt. 16:17] I am a believer! In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I exercise my God given authority to expel all evil spirits from this place. I command them to leave now, according to the Word of God, and in the name of Jesus! And now, Lord Jesus, I ask you to fill all vacated areas will your Holy Spirit.
The following is a suggested closing prayer.
[II Sam 7:29] Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, O Sovereign LORD, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed foreverEndnotes:1 If you are living in someone else's house, or the object is not your own, anoint it with oil and command any evil spirit to leave in the name of Jesus.
2 If you feel that a curse may have come upon you household, it can be broken.
3 Experience has determined that frogs and owls seem to have a strong attraction for demons. Some ask, " aren't they part of God's creation?" Yes, although they were not created in a fallen state. He created the serpent that appeared to Eve. I was involved in a case where a four-year old girl had chronic nightmares. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that a large stuffed toy frog named Kermit was the cause. When it was removed the nightmares immediately ceased.
4 Actually, this refers to any heathen culture. The American Indian would be a very pertinent example.
5 If we believe in luck, and we believe objects can bring us good luck, in whom are we placing our faith?
6 If secret vows were made as a part of receiving these things, it may be necessary to renounce those vows. Examine them in the light of what scripture says we should vow. Any vow contrary to our singular allegiance to Christ is trying to serve two masters. Above all, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven, or by earth, or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No" be no, or you will be condemned. [James 5:12]
7 if you have removed the obvious items and there is still not a sense of peace in the household, consider the less obvious things that you have been reluctant to give up. Remove them to some other location and see if that solves the problem.
8 There are testimonies that when some objects [like an ouija board] were burned, a loud scream was heard.
9 Second-hand cars may also need to be cleansed. Don't forget to eliminate any St. Christopher metals!
10 Win Worly, a native Texan, is an ordained Southern Baptist minister. He is now pastor of Hegawisch Baptist Church in Lansing, Ill. He has been involved in deliverance ministry for nearly thirty years and is the author of many books on the subject.
11 This is not prayer. Do it with authority, and in a firm voice. Let the enemy know you mean it!
12 See the Covenant of the Blood.
13 The 91st Psalm is a good example.
14 If you have the ability to speak in tongues, exercise it. The demons hate to hear it!

John 8:36 (King James Version)
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

We are indeed set free from the curse of the law of sin and death by the cross.

Then we are free to remain in our comfort zone and be fed baby food. We have made Jesus our Savior but to make Him our Lord requires being obedient to His directions.

John 7:37-39. Luike 11:9-13
37 ¶ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Luke 11;9-13 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the [power of the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit equips us Spirit-filled believers to carry out our Great Commission.

Then we are equipped to or go and make disciples.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

So are you hust staying put and delegating you Gtreat Commission or setting forth?

Luk 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
