To not obey Luke 11:9-13 iS to deny that which Jesus died for!
JOHN CHAPTER 16
1 ¶ These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. 2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? 6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. 7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 16 ¶ A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

THE BIG QUESTION
In the early church signs and wonders were commonplace.
So why are they so out of place in so many of the presI day churches today?

HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
I have observed that there is a practice of using the the prepositions in, with, of, and by interchangeably when referring to the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Since they all have different meanings they cannot all be correct. Since baptize means to immerse, "in' would seem to be the correct choice. The use of"by is the most misleading, since it refers to a different baptism.
5 Romans 6:3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
6 1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

12 Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Studying the Bible is doing for ourselves.
Doing what is says is doing for God.
Not doing what it says is disobeying God.
If we are not applying what we read, it doesn't matter if we read it or not.

tHE GREAT OMISSION?
when a denomination's leadership avoids the supernatural and
their seminaries avoid the supernatural, and turn out ministers who do the
same, Is it any wonder their church limit themselves in carrying out the
great commission?
Don' they know they are denying very power that launched the early church. Is it any wonder they are losing members?

A GOOD QUESTION
Howe many of us, either sonsciously or unconsciously, are a little comforted to discover what appear to be errors or contradictions in the Bible? If we can claim there are , then we can excuse oursrlves for not always doing what it commands us to do.

PROOF TEXT?
II TIMOTHY CHAPTER 4
1 ¶ I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9 ¶ Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. 12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. 13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. 16 ¶ At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. 17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Hal, Just a note on the guy on Sid Roth that you sent. We have seen golden dust many times manifest. We even had some in our church. My good friend Alice, got 3 gold teeth at a Harvest Rock conference and she didn't know it for 2-3- days because she felt nothing. I have never seen manna appear. Dan and Sarah Shepler met onegentleman in Idaho? that gem stones have beenappearing in his yard (He is a strong Christian of course). They brought back photo of the gems. They got to hold the gems. She said the colors are different for each person who holds them. Probably his film tells about the "angel feathers" also. They are generally tiny. They appear some-times during worship services. I know a gal, Judi who does inner healing. The feathers are always showing up in her office. I finally got one when we went to prayer mt. in South Carolina last year. We had supper at the owners and one just floated down out of nowhere. We are going to Lakeland FL next week to the revival. I miss you and think of you often. I pray you and Ginnie are both in good health. love, Becky

Man falls after receiving Spirit, sues: Claims church liable for injuries sustained during healing service
Last June, Matthew Lincoln was attending an evening service at his nondenominational Tennessee church when he approached the altar where a visiting minister was offering individual prayers for parishioners. Assigned "catchers" were present on the altar in case congregants fainted, fell, or otherwise lost control. When the minister, Robert Lavala, slightly touched his forehead, the Knoxville-area man "received the spirit and fell backwards," – except nobody was there to catch him, Lincoln charges in a $2.5 million lawsuit filed yesterday against Lakewind Church and its pastors. Lincoln, 58, claims that he fell backwards, striking his head against the "carpet-covered cement floor," according to the Circuit Court complaint, which was first reported by Courthouse News Service.…Since he already suffered from a "degenerative disc disease of his neck and back," Lincoln, a former church board member, contends the fall exacerbated the pre-existing condition and has caused him "severe and permanent" injuries. As a result of the fall, Lincoln, a recording engineer, claims that he is no longer able to care for his disabled daughter. Lincoln alleges that Lakewind and its pastors were "negligent in not supervising the catchers to be sure that they stood behind the person being prayed for...should they have a dizzying, fainting, or falling in the spirit as had occurred on many occasions before." Lincoln's lawyer, J.D. Lee, told TSG that the church's insurer, Zurich of North America, rejected an insurance claim, asserting that Lincoln should have realized that no catchers were situated behind hi

Signs of Healing: Third Christian School Dedicated in Iraq

"These government officials actually take their kids to that Christian school, and they perceive the school on a daily basis as a place of reconciliation, as a place for the future. And it is being led by Christians."
(Iraq)—Carlos C (name withheld for security reasons) is the vice-president of Partner's International Ministries. Recently he dedicated a third Christian school in Northern Iraq and is reportedly "amazed" by what God is doing there. (Photo: MNN) "Education in English was a huge asset," said Carlos. "These people are trusting their kids to the care and the hands of a Christian education. Adults entrusting their kids to the hands of Christian educators so that the future can be better—that is amazing. And that's only possible by God's grace."According to a report in Mission Network News (MNN) at the dedication of the school, the Iraqi minister of education representative spoke. The minister, said Carlos, said "Iraq is trying to reconcile people. And whatever you hear, this is a place where we value democracy, and everyone is welcome."While they are predominately Muslim, Carlos said, "These government officials actually take their kids to that Christian school, and they perceive the school on a daily basis as a place of reconciliation, as a place for the future. A TESTIMONY
Hi Hal
I came to your group on Wed. May 31st with Elaine. I am Janice from Canada.
Thank you for awakening me to healing power that Jesus has intended for us to use for others. Your web site is very helpful and I am writing to tell you how astounded I was to read your experience. About 30 years ago I was invited to go to a Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship in another city. I was recently baptised in the Holy Spirit and had an idea of what to expect. I believed, but was uncomfortable with the emotionalism. That afternoon I tripped and hurt my back. I could barely get to the car. As we drove my back became stiffer and more painful. I thought I would not be able to get out of the car. I said to the Lord, "if you want me at this meeting you will have to fix my back." I felt a sensation of heat and the pain left although I wondered what would happen when I moved. When we arrived at the meeting I got out of the car and walked into the meeting with no pain whatsoever. As you see my experience is very similar to yours.
I believe the Lord is leading me to a ministery in our church (even though it is Baptist). I know two women who believe that we can heal in Jesus' Name and we already have a powerful prayer group. I will keep you posted
Thank you to you and Ginny for your gracious hospitality.

A TESTIMONY
I'm Sureshni, from Sri Lanka. About two years ago, I found your site 'Land of Miracles' and asked you and your group to kindly pray for my healing. It was a tear in my body which bled and actually needed suturing. But as I prayed and asked the Lord to please heal me, I read the scripture " I will heal the breach" - from the Old Testament.I knew the Lord was telling me He WILL heal me.It took about 2 months for the total healing, but I was TOTALLY healed, Praise God.I didn't have to see a doctor at all! Neither, did I take any medication - except that I kept that part very clean and used the gel from an aloe vera plant - I felt the Lord led me to usethis. Now, again I need healing. This time, for my teeth which the Dentist says are 'wasted'.The teeth at the back that I use to chew my food. The Dentist also says there are 'spaces' between my teeth, due to the 'wasting'.One tooth in particular is very sensitive when I bite.I have always kept my teeth clean, so I've done all I can. Again, I've asked the LORD to please heal me. I felt He pointed out a scripture in Isaiah that said" I will RAISE UP the decayed places thereof" I am convinced that my God can and will heal in answer to the prayers of many. I LOVE to see people healed and also to personally experience Divine healing. Hal, would you please pray for me that the LORD would heal my teeth? my Dentist is a Budhist lady. I would so LOVE to experience this healing by our Lord. I had written down your email address as well as the address - 'hittpink', the last time. So I thought I'd send a copy to her/him also. Hoping to hear from you Hal. Thank you so much and God bless you! Sureshni, from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Man Who was Written Off by Doctors at Birth Now Shares How His Second Birth in Christ Revolutionized His Life
Teresa Neumann (June 10, 2008)
"Christopher Coleman—becoming the first in his family to graduate from college—likens his life in a wheelchair to the blind man in Chapter 9 of the book of John" in that he was "born with such challenges, so that the works of God be demonstrated in him."
(Atlanta, Georgia)—A report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution chronicles the life of Christopher Coleman, from doctors "writing him off" after his premature birth to his second birth in Christ years later.According to the article, shortly after Coleman's birth doctors said he would never walk, talk, or even think for himself. His father abandoned his mother the day he was born and throughout his subsequent years in school people treated him as a non-entity as he sat in the back of class in a wheel-chair. (Photo: Empowered Ministries) "No one talked to me," he said, wondering why he'd ever been born. "No one even wiped my nose."
Meanwhile, he taught himself how to read and his mother "passed on her faith" of God to him and ultimately he graduated among the top five in his high school class of 1993. A short time later he moved to Georgia to go to school at Southern Polytechnic State University. One day in 1998, Coleman sneezed, spraying the personal assistant assigned to help him with his daily tasks. The assistant didn't get frustrated or annoyed with Coleman like so many others had in the past. "It's OK," the man told him.
"I didn't hear him," Coleman said. "I heard God say, 'It's OK.' "
That, notes reporter Gracie Bonds Staples, was Coleman's second birth and in that moment, realizing that he was not a burden to the world, his life changed forever. Coleman has spent the last ten years taking this message of hope to others, and will do so again June 19 when he speaks before a performance by TobyMac in Atlanta.
Adds Staples: "Christopher Coleman—becoming the first in his family to graduate from college—likens his life in a wheelchair to the blind man in Chapter 9 of the book of John" in that he was "born with such challenges, so that the works of God be demonstrated in him."

TRUE OR FALSE?
In my view, there are three steps to becoming a complete Christian.
Step one is knowing about Jesus.
Step two is knowing Jesus through the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Step three is doing what we are commanded to do by Scripture.
See acts 1:8

ANOTHER BIG QUESTION
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

But how many are obeying Him?

A BIG QUESTION
37 ¶ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.
Jesus died to provide living water to the thirsty but how many are dying to have it?
