TURNING OVER A NEW PAGE
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is going to the Holy Spirit's Book and then to the page He is holding upon to us. And then to tag along as He turns the pages. He will meet us where we are but we must be willing to follow Him as He turns the pages.

SOMETHING HARD TO CHEW ON
Hebrews 5:8. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.
Do we need to suffer to learn obedience?
9. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
Are there disobedient Christians or is that an oxymoron?
10. being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek. 11. Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
Have our presuppositions made us hard of hearing?
12. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
Are we sippers or chewers?
13. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

THE "YES, BUTTERS."
Those who keep saying, "yes, but" to the Scriptures that challenge their comfort zone theology are just sitting on them.

PRIVATE INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 13:1. If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
4.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
5.
does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
6.
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7.
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8.
Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
9.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
10.
but when the PERFECT comes, the partial will be done away.
11.
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
12.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
13.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
This chapter is often called the love chapter. It is frequently read at memorial survices without any apparent understanding that it is describing how the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in chapters 12 and 14 are to be used. It is totally taken out of context.
It is also the basis on which those who say the gifts of Pentecost passed away with the early church. They have chosen to privately interpret the meaning of the word "perfect" to refer to when the biBible was cannonized. And the gifts are no longer needed since we now have the Bible.
It is akin to saying that now we have the documation, we don't need the program.
Of course this requires ignoring the fact that there are an estimated number of over 400,000 Christians who have expperienced and continue to experience the manifestation of these gifts.
And how many think the "perfect" has come?

However, for me, the great tragedy is that, for many Chrristians, they may as well have cease since they neither want them, are seeking them, or have any intest in using them, even to help others. Luke:11:9-13

FREE DIVINE SOFTWARE
In many ways our brain can be compared to a computer.
For example, it has a "hard drive", a short term "ram", and an operating program.
I submit that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a power pack utility software utility ackage that Jesus will install if we ask him and are willing to download it. It is a vital need for those who are open to doing what He calls us to do.

THEY HAVE EYES BUT THEY SEE NOT
There are those who who say,
the Holy Spirit's gifts have passed away,
and are no longer available today.
And closed their minds and eyes to see
their only chance to be,
the means and ways that set us free.
That are His gifts to you and you and me.
the Holy Spirit's gifts have passed away,

And closed their minds and eyes to see

OUR CALLING
It is not our call to merely chat,
to chew the fat,
but get off our pratt whereon we sat.
To stand up tall,
to give our all, like Pete and Paul.
.And go to bat, and hit the ball.
that is our call and to never stall.
And that is that, it is our call.
to chew the fat,
but get off our pratt whereon we sat.
To stand up tall,
to give our all, like Pete and Paul.
.And go to bat, and hit the ball.
that is our call and to never stall.
And that is that, it is our call.

A QUESTION
Multitudes of Christians regularly sing this hymn by Charles Wesley but do they know what they are asking for?
Oh for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer's praise,
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of His grace!
Charles, as well a John, were charismatic, could hardly have meant a thousand physical tongues since that would make us a monstrosity.
Perhaps there is a clue in verse 16. ( not included in most hymnals)
Then with my heart I first believed,
Believed with faith divine,
Power with the Holy Ghost received
To call the Savior mine.
So the question is, why is this hymn sung by so many who are not seeking this power?

THE ABUNDANCE
John 10:10. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
This is eteral life but the abundance came at Pentecost. http://69.6.236.221/baptism2.htm

ATTENTION!
If we make it necessary, God will allow or cause circumstances to get our attention. Cancer is very effective.
INVISIBLE INK
For Christians who have already made up their mind, many parts of the Bible are written in invisible ink. The ink is there to make us think.

Psalm 5:12
Here is a word for you from the Word.
For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them withyour favor as with a shield. NIV
That's one thing very sure--God blesses the righteous. Alot of things today that we used to count on, we've found nolonger absolutely sure. Many places that we looked for security andcertainty have failed us and let us down. Political solutions andfinancial solutions seem to be crumbling today. But there is one thingstill sure in life, that God blesses the righteous. We need to spendmuch more concern about making sure that our lives are right beforeGod. That we qualify for that blessing of the Lord which He reservesfor the righteous, which is only for the righteous.
And then the psalmist says, "You surround them [the righteous]with your favor as with a shield." God's favor is towardthe righteous and when we walk in His righteousness His favor is likea shield, like a protection around about us that shields us againstthe blows of life. It shields us against the pressures. It shields usagainst forces that are too strong for us. It shields us from harm anddanger and evil. What a blessing to walk in the favor of the Lord, toknow His presence, to know His favor around about you as a shield.Remember, there's one thing sure; God blesses the righteous. -Derek Prince

OUR LIST OR GOD'S?
We all have a to-do list which may also include what we have chosen to do for God - when we find time.
God also has a to-do list for all Christian, which includes us. Our list may include some of those on God's list, but if we are substituting our list for His list, we are listless and useless to God!

To do what we choose to do for God man be a "good" thiung but if we substitute it for what God tells us to do, it is a Cain offering and is totally unacceptable to God.

HOLY SPIRIT POWER BY A DAM SITE
The Scriptures say that when we are saved we are filled with the Holy Spirit. For those who say it is the same as being baptized in the Holy spirit I offer this analogy..
Visualize a hydo-electric plant. There is a lake behind it that represts being filled with the Holy Spirit. However, no power is generated until there is a flow through the genereators. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit opens the gates. This generates the power by which we enlighten the world because out of the dam flows rivers of living water.
We may have a lake of living water within us but we need to ask Jesus to open the gates.
See John 7:37-39

THE TEMPORAL VERSUS THE ETERNAL
It has been said that the enemy of the best (eternal) is something good (temporal).
Although it is not an either/or proposition but when the temporal is a substitute for the eternal it becomes its enemy.

THE SECOND BLESSIMG
The baptism in the Holy Spirit by Jesus is getting in cahoots with the Holy Spirit.

MORE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE MUCH
Kenneth Hagen, the late well-known evangelist, testified to having prayed this prayer for himself for an extended period of time and he experienced a dramatic change in his life. It is a prayer that Paul prayed for the Ephesians.
(Ephesians 1:17-19 and 3:16-4:1) It has been paraphrased into the first person so an individual can pray it for himself. Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that you will give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know You better. I pray also that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which You have called me, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and Your incomparably great power for us who believe. I pray that out of Your glorious riches You may strengthen me with power through Your [Holy] Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge -- that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to You, who is able to do immeasurably more than all I can ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within me, to You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations
The Ephesians were Spirit-filled born again believers but even for them there was more.

ANOTHER QUESTION
Why is it that anyone will accept an offer of money without question?
But when it is suggested, even to Christians, that God has both present and eternal riches which are free for the asking*** that they often refuse? In fact, some take offense that it is being suggested that they don't already have it all.
<s9. "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
10. "For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.
11. "Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
12. "Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he?
13. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

THE THIRD WORLD
The third world is much more open to God's world of miracles than the either the first or second. They are worlds apart.

Question 1 Who is saying this?
Question 2 Who is He addressing?
Question 3 What are they He is addressing told to ask, seek, and
knock for?
Why do they need to do this?
