In my view, the reason speaking in tongues is so divisive is that it is the objective proof of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. You can't claim you have it if` you do not. Whereas, with the subjective gifts, like faith. You may not have it but you can still claim you do.

AN EFFECTIVE SERMON

The proof of an effective sermon is the responses to an altar call.
